It Rained Today, And I Ate Cake

I'm beginning to realize that I'm not an expert on the "living alone" thing. However, I am trying as hard as I can to not forget things like buying toilet paper and remembering to eat.

I'm loving the course, though. It's perfect for me. We learn translating Norwegian-English and English-Norwegian. In addition, we have Norwegian grammar and English grammar classes, plus British and American society. There's also a class in which we learn specific terms that we'll need to work in specific fields, for the fall it's computer-related, and then in the spring there'll be law, I think. I only have 11 hours a week, so there's a lot of free time, which I'm trying to figure out what to do with. I can either get a part-time job here, or get involved in some of the activities that goes on here on campus.

The professors want us to build up our own personal library of reference books and dictionaries, which sounds like a really good idea, but unfortunately, an idea I can't really afford right now. I still haven't received the money I'm supposed to receive from the government, so right now I'm kind of broke.

I'm going to Oslo this weekend, and it looks like H is going there too! I can't wait to see him, my whole body actually aches for him. So yay!

I made brownies yesterday, they turned out good and I shared with the boys. I think I ate too many though (if that is possible... It is brownies after all!). My tummy hurts.

I should get off my ass and do something now. Please, if you know of any great dictionaries, please let me know! We've been given some suggestions but I'd like some other recommendations.

I'm going to be an translator!
