A sweet summer story to lighten things up around here: The tiniest calf you've ever seen. Born prematurely, we were worried he wouldn't make it, but he did! And we got to watch him take his first steps too. And the first time he went outdoors. Look:

I realize it's difficult to see how tiny he really is. Let's put him next to me, just to show you (I'm trying to feed him in this picture, and yes, I know he's turned the wrong way!):

I managed in the end. That's GrandMa in the background, by the way.
